Although the company was recently established in 2018, it currently mainly operates the Tanyaporn Hotel, a lodging facility in Takayama City, Gifu Prefecture. In addition, in collaboration with partner companies in Thailand, we have started planning local tours and experience activities for Japanese tourists visiting Thailand as TravelismThailand from October 2022. Tanyaporn may be an unusual name, but by naming the company after my Thai partner, you can probably tell that the company has a lot of love for Thailand.
I have worked overseas for a long time related to international cooperation and community development, but I wanted to run my own business with roots in the region where I grew up, so I started my own business in 2015. We have also been involved in the restaurant, travel, and interpreter/guide businesses.
Many people predict a bleak future for Japan’s economy, which is in marked decline compared to the past, but despite this, Japan’s tourism resources are so rich, diverse, and world-class that they are attracting a lot of attention around the world. There are many. I think Japan’s tourism industry can be said to be a growth industry with a lot of room for growth if it takes advantage of inbound tourism.
Meanwhile, some people say that the industry has been working to stimulate inbound tourism, and that Japanese-style hospitality has reached a certain level, but I believe that we in Japan still have the ability to truly communicate globally. I think this is an area that people need to improve on.
If Japan can be a world-class tourism resource, have a spirit of hospitality unique to the Japanese people, and have heartfelt and true communication skills, it will be able to communicate its charm even more powerfully, and the number of fans of Japan will increase around the world. is.
With this in mind, we are a travel industry association that has suffered greatly due to the coronavirus pandemic, but we will continue to provide travel businesses specializing in inbound visitors to Japan and various experience contents to the Chubu region and Gifu prefecture. We would like to develop this into the main focus.
Rather than a one-way, superficial sightseeing tour, Thanyaporn would like to move forward in order to provide a deeper, local, and deeply moving experience. In accepting such experiences, not only those involved in the tourism industry but also local residents can teach foreign tourists something, work on something together, and in turn receive something from them. I hope that small but warm bonds will be formed here and there.
In the future, I think that not only foreign tourists but also foreigners working and living in Japan will increase more and more in all parts of the country. , I hope that we will be mentally prepared for a glocal future in which we build regions together with people from other countries.
